Conservation and Restoration for Archaeological Objetcs

Textile Conservation Lab

Pre-Columbian Textiles because of their organic nature are very fragile to changes in humidity, temperature, lighting and dirt of the environment.

If we don't take these conditions seriously, pre-Columbian textiles can turn into dust.

After thorough analysis the textile restorers of the Larco Museum execute conservation and restoration programs so we can keep looking at these beautiful objects for many generations to come.
